About

I was Born in Brooklyn, New York and at an early age I was selected for Art Enrichment in the NYC public school gifted and talented programs. My first experiences were sketch classes at the Brooklyn Museum and Pratt Institute. Acceptance to the High School of Art & Design and winning the portfolio award for fashion illustration lead to a full tuition scholarship to Parson's School of Design.

My professional journey took my illustration and design skills into the magical world of newborn apparel and gifts. My soft images, poems and designs found a true home and the love of babies and children came straight from the heart.

Among my current projects, the work for Dollie and Me initiated a reunion with my fashion illustration roots. It is a delightful job to create art, designs and ideas for the world of sparkly girls matching back to their dolls. A brand building effort included character development illustrations based on a story in the works and a soft doll design in progress.

An unexpected surprise on this road was the places my work took me to. I was fortunate to reap the benefit of having the world as a source of inspiration. From Pitti Bimbo childrens' trade expo in Florence, Italy, to a whirlwind shopping week which included, Amsterdam, Germany, Paris, and London.

From a sample room in Hong, Kong, Macau, and Shanghai, to a weekend in amazing Tokyo and trendy Harijuku. There is no better way to put passion in your heart and excitement in your eyes than feeling the pulse of the streets in the cities around the world.

On a personal journey to  Indonesia with a small travel group, I donated baby clothes to the villagers living on the small islands surrounding Bali. I saw how one act of kindness sets universal love in motion with a simple smile.

I am so grateful that at this point in my life, things have come full circle in a very rewarding way.

As an alumnus of the High school of Art and Design, I support an award for an aspiring student .   In memory of my Mom, I donate art supplies.

A dear high school friend has an art school in N.J. where I teach Saturday classes. Encouraging "Creative Confidence" allows children to enjoy their own artistic journey. If I can help a child look at a blank piece of paper and embrace the chance to transform and create, that's a magical way to give back something special.
